Book Cheryl to speak at your event!

Dr Cheryl Hawkins MBBS MRCPsych – Mental Health Advocate,  Speaker, and Educator.

Dr Cheryl Hawkins is a former psychiatrist, keynote speaker, and the founder of Level Up Mental Health Training, an organisation dedicated to improving mental health awareness, reducing stigma, and equipping individuals and workplaces with practical strategies for supporting mental well-being.

With a career rooted in psychiatry, Dr Hawkins has spent years studying the complexities of mental health and the challenges individuals face in seeking support. However, her expertise extends beyond clinical knowledge. She has lived experience of managing anxiety and depression, giving her a deeply personal understanding of the struggles that come with mental ill health. Additionally, she has been a steadfast source of support for family members and fostered children navigating their own mental health journeys, further shaping her empathetic and trauma informed approach.

Recognising the need for proactive education and early intervention, Dr Hawkins transitioned from clinical practice to focus on mental health advocacy and training. She has been a licensed Mental Health First Aider Trainer for over five years, delivering impactful training sessions that empower individuals and organisations to recognise signs of mental distress, offer appropriate support, and promote psychologically safe environments.

Her work extends beyond professional training—Dr Hawkins has dedicated herself to creating more inclusive and supportive communities, from helping her foster children navigate school life to strengthening mental health awareness within churches. Her ability to bridge the gap between clinical expertise, lived experience, and practical action makes her an engaging and relatable speaker.

A dynamic and passionate communicator, Dr Hawkins is known for her compassion, authenticity, and solution-focused mindset. She speaks at conferences, corporate events, and workshops, offering insightful perspectives on mental health in the workplace, breaking stigma, and building resilience.

Outside of her professional work, she finds joy in cycling, crafting, and spending time with her beloved dog—a reminder of the importance of balance and self-care in the journey toward mental well-being.
