Service Description

The Adult MHFA is a hugely rewarding course that is ideal for individuals who would like to become an MHFAider® to gain the knowledge and skills to spot signs of people experiencing poor mental health, be confident to start a conversation and signpost a person to appropriate support. As an MHFAider® you will be able to: • Have a deeper understanding of mental health issues, based on lived experience. • Recognise individuals who might be experiencing poor mental health based on the skills and knowledge gained in spotting the signs and symptoms of a of a range of mental health issues. • Encourage a person to identify and access sources of professional help and other relevant supports • Discuss the MHFAider® role in depth, including boundaries and confidentiality • Practise self-care and promote personal wellbeing • Know how to use the MHFAider Support App® Everybody who completes this course will now have access to continuous support – well beyond your initial certification – so you are confident, empowered and motivated to carry out your role. You will get three years’ access to MHFAider® support and benefits which includes 24/7 digital support through the MHFAider Support App®. From there, you will find exclusive resources, ongoing learning opportunities and the benefit of joining England’s largest community of trained MHFAiders®.

Cancellation Policy

The course materials will be sent out 14 days before the course booking, after this time refunds are not available. However if you are unable to attend the course on the day please let me know and we can reschedule for another day.
